There was a full schedule of activities to work through during our Representatives of Employee Safety (RoES) conference this year.
This was our second face-to-face gathering with much to celebrate, work through and discuss.
The conference provides a valuable opportunity for our RoES to network, share best practices, raise concerns and drive actions to enhance our safety culture.
During the morning we had updates from each of our regional RoES groups, shared a video to explain an updated procedure and provided a tool demonstration. And, conducted an enlightening experiment about pin-pointing communication.
In the afternoon we discussed PPE, reporting observations and workforce inclusion equipment.
The day concluded with an update on our behavioural science programme and how our RoEs will play an integral role in embedding a culture of reduced risk. And, an exercise on how we can action results from a recent safety-based survey.
Our core company values are safety, professionalism, integrity, respect, innovation and teamwork. These values are wholly embodied through our RoES group which is made up of a cross-section of individuals both operational and office based.
