Looking to the Future
AmcoGiffen were pleased this week to host Thomas Gee a Year 10 student from Elizabethan Academy in Gainsborough for his work experience placement in Barnsley.
Thomas has been with the Work Winning team learning about proposals, estimating and tender administration. He has spent an afternoon with our temporary works design team including learning about CAD drawing and BIM.
Thomas is very interested in the application of new digital technology in engineering and so found this session very informative. To try and give him a broad experience of backroom operations he has also been involved in ‘light’ administration duties within our HR, SHEQ and procurement teams.
Thomas has enjoyed his time here and the team at AmcoGiffen are happy to help such a bright talented individual to further his interests in engineering.
