Temporary Footbridge Opened at Bridlington Station

We’re pleased to officially open a temporary footbridge for pedestrians at Bridlington Station as part of an Access for All (AFA) scheme that we’re delivering on behalf of Network Rail, which aims to improve services for passengers at the station.

The temporary footbridge has been installed for commuters to safely pass over platforms as we work to install two new lifts between the existing footbridge. The original footbridge will be refurbished with newly manufactured steelwork produced by our own AmcoGiffen fabrication workshop which will also build the steel shafts for the lifts.

To minimise future disruption, we’re combining this work with some essential roof repairs. We’re working together with the local conservation officer to make sure that we use materials and finish to maintain the aesthetic of this much-loved, listed building that serves as a railway station for the people of Bridlington.
